Low-tide unleashing of two near-labrador boys.
It’s a bit of a squash and a squeeze in the garden at the moment - we’ve got summer crops still hanging in, and lots of winter crops needing to get a good start before it gets too frosty. . Its days like these that I wish we had more land, but that would mean moving and I love this community, so it’s just about working with what we’ve got. . So today, I ripped out about half the tomatoes, to plant some leeks and broccoli and cauliflower. I’ll make some fried green tomatoes and perhaps a chutney with the bigger ones and lay the small ones out to ripen on the covered deck. . The colour is just astounding.
Prize for the most fragrant harvest of the year goes to........... BASIL! 🏆 Well done Basil! . And now, let’s make some pesto! 🥳

Gratitude is thick and unctuous for this mara kai. . Tomatoes, chillis, capsicums, courgette. kale and chard. Organic, fresh and whenever we need. 🌱🙏👌🍅
Love for low-tide and the welcome walk that it heralds, has already reached stratospheric levels - and we’ve only just begun.
