🎶 Oh summer, you’re so fine, you’re so fine, you blow my mind. Oh summer 👏 👏 👏 Oh summer. 🎶
My little garden helper shelling ‘glooseberries.’
This day felt different. This was the day she picked a bundle of beans for a neighbour, seven capsicums, a full pail of basil leaves, two cucumbers, one Cocozelle, three Magda and a full array of tomatoes. She trimmed some leaves and watered the soil and said thanks. Then she organised her tomatoes in a loose colour order and realised as she was doing it, that all roads in her life had been leading her right here. Book spines be damned. And on looking at the abundance before her, in all its organic, spray free , ombré glory, she decided that this was truly the Day of Plenty.
Before the train and before the sun, I watered the garden and harvested some more Mediterranean plumpcious beauties. Such a lovely start☀️ Happy Day everyone!
Bookending the weekend in style with a dinner picnic and an after dinner swim. #lovewhereyoulive
Early Sunday morning, up to water the garden before the heat comes in and marvelling, marvelling, marvelling.
