This morning I attended the blessing for Lisa Reihana's artwork 'In Pursuit of Venus' (iPoV) which opens at Te Papa in the coming days.
Dinner ingredients for ten friends tonight. 18 different organic spring vegetables picked straight from our earth. Holy schmoley, they're a pretty bunch. Now - let's get cooking! See you soon @amijmitch @tamallama @nicolewere @jamesekilbride
This morning we swapped some seeds, veges, eggs and koha for a portrait from the incredibly talented local artist @bodhivincent who is drawing as many portraits as will fit on the local cafes wall. Beautiful morning, beautiful community @raumatisocialclub 🌱💓☀️🎨
A collection of moments in our happy spring garden. This time of year, you can almost hear them all growing. So verdant, so happy. Just awaiting the asparagus to pop up now and my favourite time of year will really be here.

Green on green on green. A verdant basket of organic, spray free greens from the garden for Albie's requested dinner tonight - "green spaghetti". Kale, cavolo nero, spring onions, curly kale and great grabs of parsley.

Imagine a whole street filled with sunflowers? Well this is what I've been thinking about for Bee Awareness Month. I've been in the throes of making wee packets of giant Russian sunflower seeds for all my neighbourhood from last year's flower heads. Hopefully this summer, sunflowers, and bees will abound all the way down the street.

Yesterday, we took a walk under the trees. The air was fresh from the snow melting on the hills above us, the light crisp, the sky blue.
