🌱☀️❤️💚💛🌈 A quick basket of organic goodies picked between the showers ready for dinner.
We woke early and watched the Hautapu at Te Papa Tongarewa, to mark Matariki, the first public holiday to centre mātauranga Māori as a country and honour the new year of this land.

Sustained my body, mind and soul with eleven of my best girls in some of the best landscape in the motu.
These trees on the rise in Auckland Domain know me well.
One of my projects at the moment is to develop someresources to support the New Zealand curriculum refresh.
Took a lunch break to harvest some of the epic autumnal vegetables we have for dinner. Still picking zucchini and chillis(hello climate change) but also picked the first big bundles of kale, pak choi, celery and spinach along with the first beetroot and staples of chard and chayote. Beautiful harvest - so much great organic food for the whānau. Back to work……
I spent the afternoon and evening with some of the incredible team @omg_akl and @fortheloveofbeesnz , where I'm lucky enough to be a trustee.
Tick tock it's Chayote O'clock.
